Taking advantage of new rules allowing married same sex partners to receive federal benefits put in place after the United States Supreme Court decision striking down the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv issued its first-ever derivative visas to the same sex spouses of two Israelis relocating to the United States on work visas.
