Three Israeli soldiers were injured by an explosion on the Gaza border Tuesday morning, November 6 2012.
Initial reports said an IDF unit came under attack while conducting a routine sweep near Kibbutz Nirim. The explosion was likely caused by a roadside bomb, but may have been the result of an anti-tank missile. The explosion was reportedly followed by a gunfire exchange.
The soldiers suffered from shrapnel wounds. One of the soldiers was reportedly in moderate condition and and was evacuated by helicopter to the Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba for treatment. The other two suffered light injuries. Photo by Dudu Greenspan/Flash90
