Two Californa Fire Department Air Unit planes re-fuel their 1200 gallon tanks at the Hollister Airport about every 40 to 45 minutes throughout the day. Hollister California is home to two airplanes with 1200 drop tanks as well as an OV-1, "Eye in the sky" recently acquired from the military. The OV-1 is an agile 750- horsepower military airplane that is used to, "Scope the entire fire situation" said Hollister firefighter Bart Wadell.
