The self proclaimed king of pop, Michael Jackson, died today on June 25, 2009 from what is said to be cardiac arrest. Jackson is a pop icon and was loved and admired by fans of all ages. His album Thriller is still the best selling album of all time. Throughout the day, people in the Los Angeles area surrounded the pop stars home and the UCLA medical center in hopes of finding out the details of the artists death. Jackson's star on Hollywood Boulevard was covered until about 12:30am while fans mourned and celebrated the iconic superstar. Candles, Flowers and posters were placed around his star on hollywood BLVD. There is no doubt that the grieving process for the family, friends and fans of Jackson will continue for a long while.
