The Tel Aviv municipality urged residents and business owners to turn off their electricity from 8-9 P.M. on Thursday evening, as part of a worldwide off-the-grid campaign against global warming and energy waste. An unplugged concert was held in Rabin Square. All energy supplied to the stage and minimal lighting required for safety came from renewed and alternative energy sources.
