Palestinians cut meat from a slaughtered cow, on the first day of the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha on December 19, 2007, in the Rafah Refugee Camp, Gaza Strip. The Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha (Festival of Sacrifice), falls on the tenth day of Zulhijjah, the final month of the Muslim year. To celebrate Muslims slaughter sheep, goats, cows and camels to commemorate Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son for God. The meat will then be distributed to those in need.
