Feast Alaedhi Wednesday 19 December The Muslim holiday Eid al-Adha, the Festival of Sacrifice, falls on the tenth day of Zulhijjah, the final month of the Muslim year. As Eid approaches, Muslims start buying, sheep, goats, cows, beef and camels to be slaughtered for the holiday. Muslims will slaughter the sheep at the end of the annual Hajj procession to commemorate Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son for God. The sheep's meat will be distributed to the needy.
