After exchanging gunfire with Hamas gunmen near his home during the night of Monday June 11, Jamal Abu al-Jadian took refuge in a nearby house in the town of Beit Lahiya, where his body was found riddled with 40 bullets. His brother also died of his injuries, and other family members were wounded. The renewed clashes between Fatah and Hamas breach the latest ceasefire to be agreed between Fatah and Hamas as tensions continue to mount between the two rival factions.
