General view of the extaordinary inhabited sand castle, the "Hermit House," built into the cliffs of Herzliya Beach, June 30, 2006. "Hermit," Nissim Kahhalon, spent a total of 29 years creating this surrealist yet practical masterpiece by turning other people's garbage into, arguagbly, the most creative home in the world. Sculptures, mosaics, and even a bathroom ceiling made entirely of Maccabee beer bottles are just a few of the artistic amenities that adorn the home. Photograph by Danel Fleisch
