Keren Ben-Baruch, 12, playfully sticks out her tongue in her brother's self decorated room on February 4, 2005. Five children live in the cramped Ben-Baruch apartment in Tzfat, three of which have down-syndrome. Avichai, the eldest is thirteen, and soon after birth his parents decided that they would adopt his two sisters Keren, 12, and Shalhevet, 8. "They support eachother in special ways", their mother tells me, " I want them each to know that there is nothing wrong in having down-syndrome.
