Rabbi Avraham Elimelech Firer , chairman and founder of the "Ezra LeMarpeh" Association since 1979. "Ezra Lemarpeh" is a non-profit organization, which provides assistance to the sick and needy. "Ezra Lemarpeh" has established a logistic layout, which includes dozens of ambulances, a special ICU for flying patients abroad, Home Care Network that cares for cancer stricken children and a Video-Conference System for international medical sessions. Firer is an ordained Rabbi. He holds an Honorary Ph.D. from the Bar-Ilan University in Israel. In 1997 Rabbi Firer received the "Israel Award" the most prestigious civilian award granted to persons who contribute to social life in Israel.
