Elephants do tricks as they entertain the audience at an animal park in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The disturbing and brutal reality that breeds these 'must see' elephant attractions is not widely known by tourists or Thais. The conditions for the animals in these parks are often terrible. They are hald captive in small cages, tied to posts, and hardly able to move. Elephant trainers use what is known as the 'torture training method' to make these wild creatures obedient and tourist friendly.
